The first city farmer in Oslo was was hired as part of a three-years project collaboration at Losæter between Bjørvika Utvikling, the Norwegian Farmers’ Union and the Norgesgruppen in 2016.
In the spring of 2019, Øystein Hvamen Rasmussen took over the position as City Farmer and is employed in a permanent position through the Agency for Urban Environment – City of Oslo.
In connection with the Environment Capital 2019, Losæter has two seasonal workers Tiril and Rachel, and campaign coordinator Katrina Lenora Sjøberg – all three employed by the Agency for Urban Environment.
